Turbo Terminal Tractors Embraces Growth Amidst Industry Shifts

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Turbo Terminal Tractors has been expanding its national footprint in recent years to be closer to its fleet customers in warehousing, distribution centers, ports, and rail. Last year, the Gainesville, Ga.-based company opened a second office at Port Wentworth in Savannah and is already planning additional leasing centers in key customer markets.

Turbo COO Chris Smith emphasized that Turbo’s expansion into other terminal tractor brands for its leasing operations will enhance its customer service through greater availability and options. In addition, Turbo will continue selling pre-owned terminal tractors under multiple brand names.

Turbo’s emergence in the terminal tractor industry has centered around innovative leasing programs supported by a proactive, comprehensive diagnostics and maintenance program, Turbo Service Solutions. This program, which includes an exclusive mobile app for 24/7 customer communications, has significantly minimized operational downtime while providing a cost-free, value-added service for superior fleet management.

Originally a truck repair shop, Turbo was founded in 2006 by Jim Syfan, the company’s current CEO and a 40-year veteran of the trucking industry. Turbo is part of the Syfan network of over-the-road transport companies, which includes Syfan Logistics, an asset-based 3PL; and Trilogy, a provider of quick-pay and accounting services for trucking companies.

“We’re very proud of our growth and thankful to our team, our partners and every customer on the road to our success,” said CEO Jim Syfan.
